April is Stress Awareness Month
We all suffer from stress. For some it might be due to a busy or bad day at work. For others, it goes deeper.
Continued stress leads to poor mental and physical health. Anxiety, depression, insomnia, heart disease, digestive issues and immune system challenges can all be caused by stress.
Stress Awareness Month was founded in April 1992 by the Stress Management Society to raise awareness of the effects of stress and how we can reduce stress and its impact.
One of their aims is to get people talking about the stress they experience but to also go further, to take action and create a positive change for ourselves and people around us.
To find out more about the work they do and for free guides and resources on stress recognition and management, visit the Stress Management Society website.
During April, I'm also offering a special Treatment of the Month to tie-in with Stress Awareness Month.
