You might be wondering why you should come to Body & Sole Therapy for your next wellness treatment. There are other people offering similar treatments in the area and some of them are quite a bit cheaper than me, especially when they offer discounts and special offers. So why choose me? Let me tell you why.

Why Choose Me? written in the sand

Experience Built On Excellence

Having lived with chronic back pain for years following a discectomy in 2008, I founded Body & Sole Therapy in 2016 to help others find relief from the kind of pain I'd suffered. Before doing my first treatment on paying clients, I spent 9 months training to become a qualified sports massage therapist. At the same time, I was doing a 15 month reflexology course which involved performing 100 case studies to put into practise what I was learning. My first treatment room was above a local gym providing massage treatments to a handful of people.

In 2017/2018, I had the opportunity to spend two summers on the Greek island of Kefalonia, providing massage and reflexology treatments to wealthy clients staying at the 5* F-Zeen hotel and spa. It was here that I learnt the difference between a standard treatment and a top quality, luxury treatment using expensive, quality products from top suppliers in the industry. I learnt techniques that took my treatments to the next level.

Extensive Training, Not Intensive Training

I am committed to building on my training. As well as being passionate about training, as a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, I am required to carry out Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses to ensure I keep up with the latest techniques for the treatments I provide. I also look for different, specialist treatments that help me stand out from other therapists.

Whenever I do training courses, I make sure they are delivered by the best people. Usually these people have an international reputation for being top of their game:

Ziggie Bergman - London School of Reflexology

Hagar Basis - Director at the Reflexology Academy, London

Lynne Booth - Founder of Vertical Reflexology Technique (VRT)

Sally Earlam - Head of Training and Education at the Association of Reflexologists

Susan Findlay - Director of North London School of Sports Massage and Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy

Florence Cohen - Founder of the Osteopathic Reflexology Approach International Training

They offer extensive, in-depth training with qualifications that are recognised internationally by professional associations such as the Federation of Holistic Therapists and the Association of Reflexologists. The courses are split over several weeks or even months. As part of the training, I am required to perform treatments on clients who provide feedback as part of case studies that are needed in order to successfully qualify.

Unlike other therapists in the area, I will never do a 1-day intensive training "course". You simply cannot get the best training, experience and feedback in 1 day.

I'm All Yours

When you come to Body & Sole Therapy for a treatment, I am 100% committed to you. I have seen other therapists massaging with one hand while checking their phone with the other. At wellbeing fayres, I have seen therapists looking round the room while they are supposed to be directing their energy to their clients. It is this sort of unprofessionalism that you get from people who have done the 1 day courses.

With me, on your first visit, we will go through a full consultation to learn more about your health and wellbeing and to make sure the treatment is right for you. If you're not sure which treatment is best, I will suggest a treatment based on your consultation and needs.
