International Stress Awareness Week

30th October to 3rd November 2023 is International Stress Awareness Week, including Stress Awareness Day on 1st November.


Events throughout the week aim to raise the awareness of the effects of stress on the body and mind. The theme for 2023 is "Beyond Stress Management: From Stigma to Solutions", focusing on removing the stigma associated with being stressed. Its OK to admit you're stressed and struggling to manage it.


Whether it's caused by work, family, friends, health or money, we all experience stress and it takes its toll on us. Managing stress is immensely important for our well-being.


One way to help reduce stress is to take time out for yourself. Set aside an hour to switch off. Put away phones and computers and be one with yourself. Many employers allow you to claim back the cost of treatments as part of their employee well-being schemes so you may be able to get your relaxing treatment for free!
